POSTPONED: Trump to text Towns this Thursday
News September 16, 2018HIAWASSEE, Ga. – UPDATED: The national emergency test has been postponed until Wednesday, Oct. 3, due to Hurricane Florence’s impact to the eastern seaboard.
Many Towns County citizens are aware of the existence of the CodeRed alert system, designed to warn citizens in the event of a local emergency, but others may be unaware that a national notification program is in place.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced that a text alert will be sent to celluar phones, nationwide, in order to test the efficency of the system. The mass message is scheduled to be delivered on Thursday, Sept. 20, at 2:18 p.m. The message will state that the text is a “Presidential Alert”, with phones blasting a jarring tone with unique vibrations.
Although the federal emergency alert system was adopted in 2012, this will be the first time it will serve under the direction of a president. Since the program’s inception, the service has transmitted over 36,000 messagess, ranging from Amber Alerts to extreme weather warnings.
The test will clarify that it is just that – a test – and no response is necessary. The alert strives to ensure that the notification system will operate correctly in the event of a national emergency.
Cellphone users are permitted to opt-out of Thursday’s test.
According to FEMA, the message will read, “THIS IS A TEST of the National Emergency Alert System. This system was developed by broadcast and cable operators in voluntary cooperation with the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the Federal Communications Commission, and local authorities to keep you informed in the event of an emergency. If this had been an actual emergency, an official message would have followed the tone alert you heard at the start of this message. A similar wireless emergency alert test has been sent to all cell phones nationwide. Some cell phones will received the alert; others will not. No action is required.”
The wireless emergency alert system “shall not be used to transmit a message that does not relate to a natural disaster, act of terrorism, other man-made disaster, or threat to public safety,” according to regulations authorized by Congress.
In the event of a major weather event, the test will be postponed until Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2018.
Republican, A Metaphor for Incompetence?

Well, well, well. Democrats decisively won the Va. governorship and now scream it was a joyous repudiation of that awful Donald Trump. Lying between the real issues and the screaming propaganda that the Republicans are on the ropes, is the simple little fact that Northern Va. is the deepest part of the ‘swamp’ where many, if not most of the swamp dwellers reside, including #Never Trump Republicans. Remember, the GOP Senate Fund has actually been used to help fund Democrats campaigns if the Republican candidate is conservative with Tea Party connections or one who challenges the ‘RiNO Establishments’ official line.
Important to both campaigns for Va. Governor, was the complete failure by either candidate to face the issue of Obama’s collapsing health care scheme; the Democrats because they didn’t want to remind voters that Obamacare was indeed collapsing, and the Republicans because they didn’t want to remind voters of the incompetence of the Republican Party by its failure to repeal and replace Obamacare. Many RiNO’s still dwell among them.
All the liberal media blowhards are screaming exactly the same thing. “Everybody hates Trump.” But, do they? The results of a new poll published yesterday said that if Hillary and Trump faced off today, Trump would still win. What the politicians up there don’t realize is that the majority of American’s actually hate them and what they stand for, more than they do Donald Trump.
Trump after all, is fulfilling his campaign promises, striking down, as fast as he can, the unelected regulatory bureaucracy Obama imposed on us to kill our economy, reducing the size of government employment rolls, energizing the economy, creating employment opportunities, slowing down illegal immigration, reestablishing America’s status as a valuable and trustworthy military partner against crackpot dictators, and reorganizing fair trade practices with other countries. Not a legacy to be ignored. He doesn’t like the UN either and that can’t hurt.
The roots of the tree of Socialists dogma have been well nourished for years because we didn’t pay attention. The rabid reaction of America’s leftists, its college administrations and the millennial students they are brainwashing, have been ignited into inflamed passion, less by Hillary’s loss than by Trumps victory. This, all while the Democrat party itself collapses around them. Hillary did collude with the Russians, She did sell 20% of our uranium to them and she did rig the Democrat Convention to beat out Bernie Sanders. Now comes Donna Brazile with her tell all book, probably a lame scheme to destroy Hillary once and for all, and set up Michelle Obama for a presidential run. Remember, it’s a year out and the questions about Barak’s Obama’s unknown past still haven’t been answered. Why is that?
For that same one whole year, the crap the left has flung against the Trump train has failed to stick. The media, always leading the anti-Trump parade were falling back in confusion until one or two blue state election victories re-energized what they believe is the true message, that everybody does hate Trump. Well, sorry CNN, but no, they don’t.
Trump will succeed by the merit of his own skill as a capital businessman, bringing his supporters along with him. He will fail if the Trump public doesn’t start their own campaigns to strike back, not just against the sinister Democrats, but the RiNo Republicans themselves. Some are already fleeing Trump’s success. More should be encouraged to follow. This is our only opportunity, short of revolution, to correct our screwed up government and it is only Trump who is capable of Making America Great Again. Is Institutionalization The Answer?

Mary Todd Lincoln moved to Chicago after the assassination of her husband at the end of the
Civil War. In her grief she continued her old habits of flittering away her money, a trait that drove
her husband Abe, almost nuts when he was alive and driving her son Todd nuts as well and so,
to save the remaining fortune she had, he had her declared ‘crazy’ and institutionalized.
Hillary Clinton has taken to the world stage once again to flitter away what little credibility she
and her sexist husband Bill, have left. Hillary now claims that under her dark nemesis, Donald
Trump, a “Constitutional Crisis” is building because Trump does despicable things, then she
sets about describing, inaccurate and minute detail, exactly what the Democrat Party has done.
In terms only Maxine Waters could mouth, Hillary now calls for open warfare. She said on CNN
Tuesday, that “civility can start again” when Democrats take back control of the House and
Senate. Until then all bets are off when dealing with Republicans.”
She added: “you cannot be civil with a political party that wants to destroy what you stand for,
what you care about. That’s why I believe, if we are fortunate enough to win back the House
and or the Senate, that’s when civility can start again. But until then, the only thing that the
Republicans seem to recognize and respect is strength.”
Once again, Hillary claimed victim status as a woman, citing her own treatment at the hands of
those uncivil Republicans, claiming she was targeted by “lies,” driven by a “lust for power.”
“I remember what they did to me for twenty-five years — the falsehoods, the lies, which
unfortunately, people believe because the Republicans have put a lot of time, money, and effort
in promoting them,” so when you’re dealing with an ideological party that is driven by the lust for
power, that is funded by corporate interests who want a government that does its bidding, it’s —
you can be civil, but you can’t overcome what they intend to do unless you win elections.”
Thank you Hillary Clinton, we couldn’t do it without you. Apart from claiming her special status
as a victim because she’s a woman, as Democrats always do, she also throws down the
gauntlet of accusation because what Trump did to the poor little children. For Democrats, if it’s
not women, illegals immigrants or the poor, their excuse is always “it’s for the children!” The
separation of illegals from their children at our southern border was a process started by Obama
to keep children out of jails That, somehow in her twisted mind, is Trump’s fault.
What’s clear is that Hillary Clinton sill wants to be president. What’s equally clear is that Hillary
will never be president because she is certifiable for institutionalization, whether in a nut house
or the Big House. Nothing is more pathetic than a mouth foaming Democrat threatening incivility
and calling for action against American citizens who kept her from office! What’s could more sad
than someone selling their immortal soul for power?
When we accept that our differences of opinions are so great, and we know that sooner or later,
someone will get killed, then things are really bad. Hillary wants that power so desperately even
if, like Chairman Mao advised, it “comes from the barrel of a gun,” she’ll still try to get it. There is
an alternative: Institutionalization. The Democrat face of evil is revealed. They can no longer
hide their true intentions. They want a Communist America and we don’t! Prison works for me.
We can throw in Maxine Waters, Dianne Feinstein and Nancy Pelosi, as a bonus choices.

Time to Fish or Cut Bait

“United we stand, divided we fall.” Where have we heard that before and how many times? Our nation is not united as the media keeps reminding us. But, it’s true! The division began in ernest with LBJ’s Great Society, a socialist scheme supposedly to level the playing field for all Americans to enjoy America’s bounty, skills and ability be damned. Both of America’s political parties couldn’t wait to implement LBJ’s wonderful plan, not because it was Constitutional, but because politicians all wanted to look good to the vast pool of potential poor voters.
The two parties appeared to want to out do each other but, these many years later, we know that the Progressive Left had already suborned the Democrat party and, under the guise of the party of FDR, presumed to undo Americas exceptionalism by introducing multiculturalism, and diversity, change its educational goals to re-cast American history and denigrate its Christian religion. First, they destroyed the black family by their welfare schemes to ensure the enslavement of black Americans to the Democrat party, for ever.
Enter another rub, Affirmative Action, a patently unconstitutionally, wicked scheme that at a stroke, tipped the level playing field to favor America’s non-producers, to the detriment of America’s productive work force. That it was aimed to assist our black population was the noble goal. But, for blacks, It was a “fish or cut bait” scheme leaving the streets littered with failed, unemployable black males without family obligations, income or hope.
Over fifty years later, a new President is returning the rule of law that will make the Constitution work the way it was intended. When our Americans of African descent finally realize this, they will succeed not only as a culture but as successful Americans. Many already have. The fifty plus years of liberalism’s dysfunction is coming to an end, as it surely must.
To be effective, political party’s must also stand united. Their first duty is to the Constitution. But, the Socialist-Democrat party is in disarray. Do they go all in for Marxism or move to the center to challenge Republicans? The Republicans are in disarray because having sipped the wine of political privilege they became intoxicated with their individual power. Now that they have it, they don’t know how to handle it. They are not united because they have lost the trust of their conservative voter base. It’s the Humpty-Dumpty fable in real time.
The bewildered GOP leadership, apparently not yet having fully recovered from the catatonic shock that Trumps election gave them, still believe that because they now hold the reins of government and party discipline in their soft little hands, all Republicans should stand united in supporting their program, you know, the one they talked about for seven years, to repeal and replace Obamacare. Suddenly, they were caught in a lie. They don’t want to replace Obamacare because those same poor voters won’t vote for them, they think.
The GOP has yet to accept that President Trump is now in charge. To the causal observer, the vast sums of taxpayer money paid to insurance companies as cost sharing subsidies by Obama’s Executive Order, were funds not authorized by the Congress as the Constitution demands and are therefore, null and void effective immediately. Trump did it around the GOP Congress and neither the Congress nor Liberal Judges can arrest the stoppage.
If GOP politicians expects to enjoy the support of their voter base, they had better get behind President Trump and stop this silly #Never-Trump nonsense. For individual politicians, its definitely a “fish or cut bait” proposition. America can’t afford any more nonsense.
GOP “Meet and Greet” on the Square

Hiawassee, GA – The Towns County GOP hosted a “Meet and Greet” on Hiawassee’s Town Square on Saturday, September 24. Several booths were erected to provide information on Republican candidates and causes. Local and state politicians attended the event.
Music streamed from the gazebo while hamburgers, cold drinks and an array of Republican “bling” were available for purchase. A life-size cutout of President Donald Trump stood beneath a tent for photo opportunities.
Donna Barrow, a self professed “grassroots junkie”, manned a table devoted to David Belle Isle, a Republican candidate for Secretary of State. Barrow states Mr. Isle’s focus is aimed toward improved economic development and preventing illegal immigrants from voting in Georgia elections. David Belle Isle writes in his information pamphlet that he is “committed to cyber-secured, paper-verified elections and empowering individuals through free market solutions and tools of opportunity.” As Mayor of Alpharetta, Mr. Isle created an environment that led to the development of 12,000 jobs in the technology industry alone.
Brad Raffensperger, candidate for Secretary of State
Republican candidate for Secretary of State, Brad Raffensperger, attended the event. “I’m running for Secretary of State because I’m a conservative who wants to keep streamlining government to keep it from getting in the way of job creation and opportunity.” Mr. Raffensperger is endorsed by Georgia Right to Life, earned an “A” rating from the National Rifle Association, and received an “A” rating by the National Federation of Independent Businesses.
Fetch Your News spoke with Jim Beck, candidate for Insurance Commissioner. A “strong advocate for conservative principles and a grassroots leader”, Mr. Beck’s priorities include defending the elderly and veterans against fraud by doubling the penalties on insurance companies who take advantage of them, serving the taxpayers by opening regional offices to provide in-person meetings between investigators and the public, and increasing communication by holding telephone town hall hearings on all proposed excessive rate increases.

Who Controls the Press Corps?

Clearly, daily White House press corps gatherings are losing their allure and their effectiveness.
Thrill seekers disguised as reporters or worse, journalists, primarily of the Liberal-Progressive
bent, are intent on making themselves the news by challenging the press secretary’s every
comment including her weight, size, candor and/or her intelligence, not to mention the President
himself, not by asking questions pertinent to current issues but by taking irresolute stands
contrary to the facts and demanding answers even when told to sit down and shut up. Their
obnoxiousness is mind numbing and the whole business should be abandoned.
The White House controls the news briefings not Jim Acosta or the other Liberal creatures
dedicated to the Presidents destruction. These people are functionally illiterate, solely dedicated
to challenging the administration at any and every level of the daily news cycle, intent only on
becoming famous themselves.
Perhaps this daily event should no longer be televised, just audio recorded. Perhaps a bulletin
board could be erected on the street where daily items of interest can be posted by a WH press
staffer. Many even a chap with a bell, at noon, crying “hear ye, hear ye,” I don’t know, but this
crazed media frenzy has gotten out of hand and needs to be returned to civility or abandoned.
So, what is the news? Thousands of immigrants in a caravan, declaring their intentions to seek
amnesty in America, do constitute an invasion. The Liberal press spends their face time on such
trivial matters challenging the president directly as to his definition of what’s an invasion. I know
what one looks like, don’t you? While America faces challenges from winning Democrats,
determined to make America Socialist, the silence that falls from the normally boastful democrat
side is ignored. What do they know that we don’t? Something big is going on out there and it’s
being ignored for who defines what constitutes illegal immigrants.
These WH press people, in the face of more news of mass shootings by one deranged person,
will challenge gun laws as ineffective while ignoring the deranged person. They don’t want a
solution, they want an issue to thrash the president with and gun laws don’t do it anymore.
Other interesting happenings all but ignored by the WH press corps was AG Jeff Sessions
departure, his temporary replacement, who is to be the new US Ambassador to the UN, who’s
the new WH lawyer? what’s the view on the potential inditement’s soon to flow against the multi-
level layers of Obama’s hangers-on still in government who have, and still are, actively engaged
against the government?
The post-election news cycle revealed, but isn’t discussed, the fact that every candidate
Trump stumped for won their election because the candidate threw in with a successful
president; and every candidate Obama stumped for, lost. Everyone! That should be newsworthy
. It might explain why the Democrats aren’t boasting as they usually do.
Speaking of which, Nancy Pelosi faces imminent danger. First, she entering a realm of extreme
dementia as her performance at press conferences demonstrate. Coherent thought, recall of
people, places and things turn into babble and she faces a hostile democrat cacuse of young
leftists determined to replace her before she sinks the little hope remaining for survival the
Democrats achieved in their retaking the house. The 2020 presidential re-election campaign has
commenced. The media failed in bringing Trump down in his first two years. What’s next”

Collins spoke on a multitude of issues, from the executive actions regarding Obamacare, to his personal crusade for adequate internet service and competition in rural Northeast Georgia. However, his remarks regarding tax reform were quite revealing. According to Collins, Speaker of the House Paul Ryan (R-WI) has informed House members that he will keep the House in session, if necessary, throughout the Christmas recess in order to pass tax reform.

- The Diversity Lottery is an arbitrary way to distribute the privilege of U.S. citizenship based on nothing more than the luck of the draw.

Short Takes – The Ugly Americans

I could start out I suppose with some screed about the disappearing Al Franken(stein) but he’s done so much damage to himself and his party that little more need be said. Just keep it in mind that Al Franken is a really creepy fellow. My lasting image of him was his role in the movie Trading Places mocking a caged gorilla. I can’t get that image out of my mind and listening to big Al, now a humorless US Senator from Minnesota, interrogate Trump appointees as a member of the Senate Judiciary committee, I’m not convinced at all that the real gorilla truly didn’t get released back into the African wild. Enough on Al.
President Trump has just returned from his first presidential tour in the Far East. His reception by the Chinese was triumphal yet marred in the eyes of Trumps Chinese hosts by the ugly American incident that embarrassed President Trump, and should have embarrassed all American’s.
It seems that the UCLA Basketball team was on a tour playing against teams in the Chinese People’s Republic, when three of UCLA’s sterling members, Americans of African descent as it turns out, brought shame and embarrassment to President Trump and disgrace to themselves, and our nation, by assuming they were in their neighborhood corner convenience store where they could freely help themselves to pairs of sunglasses without paying for them. It’s called shoplifting or petty theft but, it’s still a crime. Could get you killed in Ferguson, Mo.
While the ‘brothers’ may look upon such actions here in America as their rightful due because their ancestors were once slaves, the Chinese look upon such social trivialities with different eyes. Ten years in a Chinese prison can be no picnic and, except for the incidental presence of an embarrassed President Trump, that’s exactly where they would have been, for a long, long time and nobody would be crying racism because nobody would care.
To their good fortune, President Trump sprung them from their worst possible nightmare of actually being enslaved as prisoners of the Chinese State. He got them home safe into the embrace of their communities where such behavior is apparently expected and alas, accepted. The three, their eyes cast down to the printed words provided to them mumbled, without contrition, their appreciation to President Trump for their salvation yet, not one word of apology was expressed to the American people for shaming our country by their feckless behavior.
People like these three are not really Americans because they have no pride and no shame. And, except for the fact they were born here, they are really just US citizens in name only, of no value to American prosperity or advancement and should be considered as such.
The three miscreants have passports and therefore, as individuals, should be allowed to come and go to foreign countries as they wish, but never, never, ever should they be allowed to go abroad again as members of any organized sports team, debate society, or anthropological research team, representing America. We have enough problems with our own government perverts stalking storm ravaged Caribbean Islands looking for poor children to molest and groping women in corporate work places to add these guys to our burden.
One big problem for America is that we have lost our morality on an individual basis. We truly believe that all (Americans) are equal yet we send forth goodwill ambassadors, passionate exponents for their sports, mostly, and they become the ugly Americans. What’s to be done?

This week one of the main topics was the Georgia 6th Congressional District special election between (R) Karen Handel and (D) Jon Ossoff. Karen Handel came out as the victor in this race despite concerns of the amount of money raised by the Dems to help Ossoff. Many of the polls predicted Ossoff in the lead however they did not account for the “fear factor” as BKP calls it. Hear his explanation of this and his reasoning for this in this segment. They also discussed the Comey investigation and how Russia is not the main topic you hear in the main stream media this week. The president’s budget can include policy recommendations, and Collins’ Tax Credit Accountability Act would prevent individuals residing in the United States illegally from receiving the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC). Currently, Obama-era policies allow illegal immigrants to claim the EITC retroactively, even if they have not paid taxes on previous income. In fact, illegal immigrants who were granted de facto amnesty under the Obama Administration could receive refund checks larger than their original tax liabilities. This process has been made possible by the executive decision to award illegal aliens Social Security numbers as part of amnesty. Collins’ bill would correct this imbalance by preventing illegal residents from benefiting financially from breaking U.S. laws. “I support the president’s strong response to illegal immigration and am pleased to see my legislation mirrored in his first full budget. American taxpayers deserve to see the fruits of their labor returned to their families rather than passed on to individuals who undermine our legal system,” said Collins. WASHINGTON—The Senate last night voted unanimously to pass H.R. 3821, legislation to rename Georgia’s Clermont Post Office in honor of Zack T. Addington. Rep. Doug Collins (R-Ga.) introduced the bill this September, and it passed the House in November.
“Lance Corporal Zack Addington represents the selfless courage that’s cultivated in northeast Georgia, and I’m excited to see this bill leave Congress and head to the president’s desk for his signature,” said Collins.
Collins also honored Addington when he spoke about the bill on the House floor.

Known to his neighbors as Zack, Addington joined the United States Marine Corps in 1967. A native of Clermont, he became a rifleman in the 3rd Marine Division of the Fleet Marine Force and deployed to Vietnam that year. Addington was promoted to Lance Corporal and served his country honorably until he was killed in action in May 1968.
That June, Addington received the Purple Heart, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Republic of Vietnam Campaign Ribbon in recognition of his service there.

By signing this defense bill into law today, President Trump is strengthening our military by approving a well-deserved pay raise for our troops and ensuring they have the resources they need. Ossoff claims that both parties are wasting your tax money. There is 16 billion dollars in duplicated programs and he will work with anyone for the best interest for the people. Ossoff has plenty of money to work with; he is raking it in from The DNC, Moveon.org, The Daily Kos, and many other left leaning groups. Republicans on the other hand are working to collect endorsements and raise money on their own. The RNC and The RCCC are pouring money into advertising against Ossoff but are not able to show support for any of the 11 Republican candidates. With 18 total candidates in the race, Ossoff is currently poling 40%. This puts Ossoff in the position to run a campaign attempting to win the 50% + 1 on April 18th to prevent a runoff. The best any Republican candidate can hope for is to keep Ossoff under 50% and be in the runoff.
