Letter to the Editor:
Congratulations to the City of Hiawassee on being recognized by the GMA as a city of ethics as noted in your publication dated August 6th. However, I read in your article the alarming and inflammatory language used by one of the purported members of the Board of Ethics of the City of Hiawassee wherein she stated that North Georgia should remove itself from the Bible Belt Stigma while comparing the Republican Party to the Nazi party. I am happy to say that I am a Christian and a Republican and am delighted to be a native and living in Hiawassee. I’m sure this lady checked out our lovely little area prior to coming here! Should we conservatives possibly not boycott her business and give her the opportunity of returning to her original residence. Perhaps this lady will feel more comfortable living in one of the sanctuary cities on the west coast. I am sure Delta is ready when she is.
Respectfully,
James Berrong
