Blairsville man arrested for Hiawassee auto theft

HIAWASSEE, Ga. – Towns County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Aaron Dale Patterson, 29, of Blairsville, Georgia, on Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2018.
Patterson was charged on the following warrants:
- Two Counts of Theft by Taking (Motor Vehicle)
- Two Counts of Entering Auto
- One Count of Criminal Damage to Property, Second Degree
Towns County Sheriff’s Office investigators secured warrants for Patterson related to incidents which were reported to authorities during the early morning hours of Feb. 18, at separate residences, located on Bug Scuffle Road and Konehtah Road in Hiawassee.
According to the Towns County Sheriff’s Office, the vehicles were recovered at the time, although one of the vehicles had sustained damage.
The case is considered active, and will be forwarded to the Enotah Circuit District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
Suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
