Who I am
Opinion October 22, 2017
Once upon a time I wasn’t a journalist. I’ve always been a writer, but I was an average girl who lived an ordinary life. My opinions weren’t readily questioned; my thoughts weren’t scrutinized. I could say what I wished without fear of personal repercussion.
That all changed when I entered the realm of the media. I suddenly gained a platform. God granted me a voice.
My mission is clear – to serve the people – and I feel it’s only fair to my readers to express such. I am extremely objective and open-minded, but I am very much an idealist. I value individuality and shun conformity.
I must admit, this is difficult to write. For the past several months I’ve reported facts, not emotion.
Nothing matters more than freedom of expression, whether I personally agree or not. Never suppress your heart nor mind.
Always feel free to speak your truth, knowing it matters.
