Mrs. Marie Opal Chastain Henson age 81 of Smyrna, passed away Monday, December 12, 2016. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Friday, December 16th at Union Hill United Methodist Church in Hiawassee with Rev. Arnold Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Burch Cemetery in Hiawassee.

Mrs. Henson was preceded in death by her husband Paul J. Henson.

Surviving are: Son-Ronnie Paul Henson of Dallas, 2 Daughters-Michelle Ledbetter of Canton, Deborah Henson of Smyrna, 2 Brothers-Nelson Chastain of Hiawassee, Ervin Chastain of Stone Mountain, 2 Sisters-Reba Walls and Beatrice Creed both of Hiawassee, 7 Grandchildren-Ryan Streckfus, Christopher Henson, Joshua Henson, Kyle Meeks, Macie Henson, Reese and Mia Ledbetter and several nieces and nephews.
