HIAWASSEE, Ga. – At approximately 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 29, a single-vehicle motor accident occurred on State 75 North/Bell Creek Road, in the vicinity of Hiawassee Animal Hospital.

The driver of the vehicle tragically collided with a tree.

FYN has since learned the identity of the victim as Teresa Miller, of Hiawassee.

Miller, a former resident of Pennsylvania, was transported via emergency air-flight to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.

Miller remains in critical condition.

Georgia State Patrol is investigating the accident.
