Man Attacked at T.V.A Campground

On August 18, 2022, at approximately 6:00 PM, the Towns County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a person cut at T.V.A. Campground on Highway 75 in Hiawassee.
The victim, Lonnie Matheson of Warne NC, was being treated by EMS and transported to a local hospital. Mr. Matheson stated he was attacked by suspect Travis Muller with a knife.
Travis Lynne Miller, age 49, of Hiawassee was located and arrested by Sheriff’s deputies at a nearby location and charged with aggravated assault. Miller was transported to Towns County Detention Center.
