James “Emory” Flynt, age 93 of Mineral Bluff, Georgia passed away September 12, 2019, at his home. He was born February 15, 1926, in Augusta, GA to Davis R. and Alma Williams Flynt. Preceding him in death were his parents Davis R. Flynt and Alma Williams Flynt, a son, James Emory Flynt, and a brother, Davis R. Flynt Jr.
He is survived by his wife Louella, a son David and daughter-in-law Susan, a daughter Donna Pritchett, six grandsons, one granddaughter, one great-grandson, a niece Julia Ann and husband George Richardson, two step-daughters Leigh Kuhn and Lou Anne O’Donnell and families.
He was a WWII veteran having served in the Marines on Guam. His hobbies were riding his motorcycle and hiking.
Funeral services: Sunday, September 15, 2019, at 2:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Crews officiating. Military Honors by the North Georgia Honor Guard. Interment will follow in Chastain Memorial Park. Pallbearers: David Flynt, Jordan Flynt, Caleb Flynt, Preston Flynt, Ryan O’Donnell, and Sean O’Donnell.
The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, Sunday, September 15, 2019, 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm.
