“#MeToo” inspired artist to be featured at Young Harris College

YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. – The works of Karen Schwartz, a practicing clinical psychologist and psychotherapist, are scheduled for display at the Campus Gate Art Gallery (CGAG) at Young Harris College. The exhibit opens Thursday, Jan. 24, with a reception at 6 p.m. Schwartz’s art will be on display through Friday, March 1, Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“We are super excited to have the work of Karen Schwartz at the Campus Gate Art Gallery,” CGAG Director Jake Bennett said, “Though she produces work inspired by various subjects, this show addresses current events and politics, particularly concerning the ‘Me Too’ movement.”

Schwartz says that these pursuits inform her artwork in fascinating, and at times subconscious ways, while the creative processes offer curious insight into her work in psychotherapy.
