Jackie Morris Bradshaw: Obituary

Jackie Morris Bradshaw, age 76 of Hiawassee, passed away September 18, 2018 at Chatuge Regional Nursing Home after an extended illness. “Jack” as most everyone called him was born January 2, 1942 in Hiawassee Georgia to Decatur and Clara Henson Bradshaw.

Jack loved to ride his horses, coon hunt, farm, and be outdoors. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandsons. He lived in Atlanta and worked as a surveyor during his young life, then upon moving back to Hiawassee, drove the school bus for 42 years. Jack held a special place in his heart for the many children of the Bell Creek area whom he drove to and from school. He also worked for the Towns County Road Department. He was a member of Bell Scene Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Clifford Bradshaw and four (4) sisters, Dorothy Jane Ledford, Margie McKenzie, Annie Sue Ledford and Betty Jean Robinson.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Patricia Ann McClure Bradshaw, his daughter and son in law Melissa and Randy McConnell; two grandsons, Kyle and Kade McConnell; four (4) brothers, Decatur Bradshaw Jr.,(Martha), Jerry Bradshaw (Rita), Leon Bradshaw (Maxine), James Bradshaw; one sister Opal Carnes and many nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers are his grandsons, Kyle and Kade McConnell, his nephews, Cliff Bradshaw, Jr. Chris Bradshaw, Derrick Bradshaw, Darren Bradshaw and Reggie Mashburn
Honorary pallbearers are Towns County Schools Bus Drivers, and employees of the Towns County Road Department.

Funeral service will be held at the Bell Scene Baptist Church at 11:00 am on Friday, September 21, 2018, with Rev. Kevin Moss and Rev. David Berrong officiating. Music will be provided by Bell Scene Baptist Church Choir.Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee from 6 till 9 pm on Thursday September 20, 2018.
