HIAWASSEE, Ga. – A serious single motor vehicle accident, wih the possibility of a fatality, recently occurred in the vicinity of Highway 76 and Ridgecrest Circle, west of Hiawassee.
It is unknown at this time whether current weather conditions contributed to the accident.
An eyewitness to the wreckage reported the vehicle involved to be a newer model, grey-colored truck, stating that the vehicle appeared to have collided with a building near the shore of Lake Chatuge.
Georgia State Patrol is investigating the accident.
