Young Harris burglary leads to arrest

YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. – On Friday, May 4, Towns County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to Chatuge Woods Campground, located off Red Banks Road, in Young Harris, in reference to a reported burglary. The incident was turned over to investigators.

Upon completion of an investigation, Terry William Henderson, 44, of Warne, North Carolina, was arrested Thursday, June 7, on the following charges:

• 1 Count of Burglary
• 1 Count of Criminal Attempt to Commit Burglary
• 1 Count of Theft by Deception
• 2 Counts Theft by Taking
• 1 Count of False Statements/Writings
• 1 Count of Hindering the Apprehension of a Criminal

The investigation is active and ongoing, with additional charges possible.

Suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
