Mrs. Nettie Irene McGaha: Obituary

Mrs. Nettie Irene McGaha age 80 of Brookstone Trace Acworth, GA. formerly of Young Harris passed away peacefully on Thursday September 14, 2017 in Acworth following an extended illness.

Mrs. McGaha was born on July 4, 1937 in Young Harris, GA., the daughter of the late Clyde Gibson and the late Vera Lee Shook Gibson. Nettie loved people. She raised and cared for many over her life. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. Nettie was a member of Many Forks Baptist church.

Surviving Mrs. Mcgaha are two sons and daughters in law, Tim and Deb McGaha, Dexter and Susan McGaha all of Acworth, one brother, Clifford Gibson of Young Harris, three sisters and one brother in law, Margie and Harold Garrett of Yong Harris, Shirl Stamey of Ranger, GA., Glenda Chilton of GA., eight grandchildren, Timmy McGaha ll, Terrance, Tracy, Danielle and Taylor McGaha, Julie Waldrop, Dylan McGaha and Tiffany Pazol, two great grandchildren, Jake Waldrop and Keira Pazol, many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday Sept. 16, 2017 at 2:00 pm from the Mountain View Chapel with Minster Terry Stuart officiating. Special music will be presented by Lavada Cheek. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, Timmy McGaha ll, Terrance, Tracy, Danielle and Taylor McGaha, Chris Hogsed and Bruce Boatright. Interment will follow in the Many Forks Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 7-9:00 pm.
