Mrs. Ruth Lugene Miller, age 99, of Hiawassee, Georgia passed away on Monday, July 24, 2017 at Chatuge Regional Nursing Home. Mrs. Miller was born on January 24, 1918 in Hiawassee, Georgia to the late Hubbard and Carrie (Arrendale) Rogers. She was preceded in death by her husband Charlie Miller and sons, Troy Miller Sr. and F.H. Miller. Ruth is survived by her daughter Joann Phillips of Hiawassee, Georgia; son and daughter-in-law, Trannis and Shelia Miller of Hiawassee, Georgia; eight grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Ruth was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and in her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, quilting, flowers and sewing.
Visitation: Tuesday, July 25, 2017 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Banister Funeral Home
Service: Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Banister Funeral Home with Rev. Bradley Thomas officiating. Music provided by Ryan Wilson.
Interment: Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery
