Ms. Wylene White, age 69, of Hiawassee, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at her home. Wylene was born on July 20, 1947 in Murphy, NC to the late Ott and Ruth (Edwards) Canupp. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Wylene worked 26 years as City Clerk for Hiawassee before she retired. She enjoyed meeting people and her work family was like a second family to her. She also loved to read and do crossword puzzles and word searches to stay busy. Wylene is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law; Clevey and Nenita White of Hiawassee, Georgia and Stacey and Audrie White of Hiawassee, Georgia; sister, Janice Davenport; grandson, Dylan White and great grandson, Jax White.
Visitation: Friday, May 12, 2017 from 6:00 – 9:00 PM at Banister Funeral Home
Service: Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Banister Funeral Home with Rev. Glen Eller officiating. Music provided by Sheila Eller.
Interment: Following the service at Burch Cemetery
