Ms. Brenda Sue Totherow Fortenberry: Obituary

Ms. Brenda Sue Totherow Fortenberry age 61 of Young Harris formerly of Blairsville passed away on Friday May 5, 2017 after a period of declining health. Ms. Fortenberry was born on April 21, 1956 at the Young Harris Clinic to the late Garnett E. Totherow and the late Netta Mae Jones Totherow. She was preceded in death by her parents and also a nephew, John Kirkland, niece, Debbie Hunter, three sisters in law, Lois, Ann and Carleen Totherow, brother in law, Harlan Underwood. Brenda was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Blairsville.

Brenda are two sisters, Pearl Seabolt of Cascade, Montana, Roberta Underwood of Young Harris, five brothers, William (Margie) Totherow, Sherdon, Jimmy (Judy) and J.C. Totherow all of Blairsville, Charles and Betty Totherow of Young Harris, many special nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday May 7, 2017 at 6:00 pm from the Mountain View Chapel with Pastor Ray Potts and Rev. Jeff Graham officiating. Special music will be presented by the Faith Singers. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, David Totherow, Jason Totherow, Ben Davenport, Vance Harris, Preston Graham and Paul Jones. Interment will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery where she will rest next to her dear mother. I= Flowers are accepted or if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to the Humane Society in memory of Brenda as she was a great lover of pets. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 4-6:00 pm. Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville is in charge of the arrangements.
