The Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee announces Funeral Services for Mrs. Shirley Williams Ledford, age 67 of Hiawassee, who passed away suddenly on Friday, May 5, 2017.
Shirley will be missed by all who knew her, but especially by her family: her loving husband of 24 years, Rickie Ledford; her son, Michael Callahan; her step-sons, Blake and Justin Ledford; her brother, Larry McClury; and her 5 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Steve Arnoldton; and her parents.
Shirley was known by everyone as a very caring, loving, and generous person. She never met a stranger, and knew practically everyone. She was always willing to listen when someone came to her with their problems. A chef by profession, Shirley loved to cook, and her home quickly became the hang out for the neighborhood and her fire department family!
Twilight Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday evening, May 6, 2017 from the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee with Rev. Jason Cantrell officiating. Special music will be presented by Dara Sims. The family will gather with friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 5:00 p.m. until the service begins.
The family would like to express their gratefulness to the Members of the Towns County EMS and Fire Department for their outstanding effort in this situation.
Arrangements entrusted to the care of Cochran Funeral Home & Crematory of Hiawassee.
