Altha Sue Couey, age 54 of Young Harris, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2017 at her home. She was born January 1, 1963 to Milford Bates and Bertie Mae Ensley in Rome, Georgia.
Altha is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Misty and David Postell of Jasper, Natasha and Hector Cobos of Savannah; mother, Bertie Mae Ensley of Gainesville; grandchildren, Shay and Joey Warren of Roopville, Skylar Smith of Jasper, Kaleb Smith of Jasper, Natdelia Cobos of Savannah, Hector Cobos, Jr. of Savannah, Aly Cobos of Savannah; great-grandchild, Jaxson Warren; siblings, Tim Bates, Rebecca Bates, Sherea Bates, Charlotte Henderson, Loretta Hampton, Cecil Ensley, Henrietta Ensley, and Shawn Ensley.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 22, 2017 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home. The family will be receiving friends from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 22.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Altha Sue Couey Memorial Fund through Roper Funeral Home.
