Helen Taylor, age 86, of Hiawassee, Georgia passed away on March 11, 2017 at Chatuge Regional Nursing Home. Helen was born on July 03, 1930 in Hiawassee, Georgia to the late Cicero and Pauline (Burch) Barrett. She was a member of Union Hill United Methodist Church. Helen loved to cook and garden. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Guy Taylor; son, Trent Taylor, daughter-in-law, Beth Taylor and daughter-in-law, Lillian Taylor.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Vivian and Curry Penland; son, Jerry Taylor; sister and brother-in-law Dorothy and Max Rogers, grandchildren, Derek Taylor, Darren Taylor, Crystal Clinton, Kelley Brewer and Kevin Goodwin; great grandchildren, Rosa-Jane Clinton, Ian Clinton, Gabriel Clinton, Kaylee Brewer, Madeline Goodwin, Bayleigh Goodwin and Jax Trenton Taylor, a number of nieces and nephews also survive. Visitation: Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Union Hill United Methodist Church from 1:00 to 3:00 PM
Service: Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Union Hill United Methodist Church at 3:00 PM with Rev. Katie Strals officiating
Interment: Burch Cemetery following the service.
Pallbearers: Derek Taylor, Darren Taylor, Kevin Goodwin, Gregory Penland, Chris Clinton, Keith Brewer, Paul Stamey and Michael Rogers.
