Mr. Vincent dePaul Cunningham III : Obituary

Mr. Vincent dePaul Cunningham III age 82 of Young Harris passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday February 25, 2017 following an extended illness. Mr. Cunningham was born on June 28, 1934 in Atlanta, GA., the son of the late Vincent DePaul Cunningham II and the late Martha Katherine Petry Cunningham. He was a veteran of the US Army of the Korean War. He had worked for Delta Airlines for over thirty seven years. Vincent loved water and snow skiing and soccer, which at one time he was a soccer coach . He enjoyed traveling and traveled worldwide. Mr. Cunningham was of the Episcopal faith.

Surviving Mr. Cunningham are his loving wife and best friend of fifty six years, Mary Hester Cunningham of Blairsville, one daughter and son in law, Barbara and Walter Davis of Carrollton, GA., one son and daughter in law, Robert and Debbie Cunningham of Newnan, GA., two brothers and one sister in law, Benny and Jan Cunningham of Woodstock, John Cunningham of Orlando, FL., three grandchildren, Matthew Davis, Kristen White and Robert Cunningham, two great grandchildren, Lila Davis and Isabelle Davis, many other relatives and friends also survive.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday March 11, 2017 at 2:00 pm from the Higgins Hillcrest Chapel Funeral Home in Newnan, GA. The family will meet with friends on Saturday from 12-2:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to Regency Hospice of Hiawassee in Mr. Cunningham’s memory. Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville is in charge of the arrangements. You may sign the family guest book and send condolences on ine at www.mountainviewfuneralhome.com
