Farris William Gibson: Obituary

Farris William Gibson, age 58 of Hiawassee, passed away Monday, February 13, 2017 at North East Georgia Medical Center. Mr. Gibson was born April 7, 1958 in Young Harris, GA to Willis and Bessie Underwood Gibson. Farris was a lifelong resident of Towns County and attended the Ministries of Grace Church in Hiawassee.

Survivors include: wife, Melinda Gibson, mother, Bessie Gibson, daughters, Farrah Mia Gibson and Romona Lea Gibson, sister, Marsha Ann (Ricky) Shook, sister, Deborah (William) Burrell, nieces, Brittany Bradshaw and Stephanie Robinson, and nephews, Brandon Shook and Matthew Gibson.

Funeral services: Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee with the Rev. David Berrong officiating. The family will receive friends at the Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee, Thursday, February 16, 2017, 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm. Interment will follow in the Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery , Hayesville.
