Donnie Mae Bryson: Obituary

Donnie Mae Bryson, age 82, of Hiawassee, GA passed away on December 31, 2016 while being surrounded by family. Donnie Mae was born in Towns County on February 3, 1934. She was preceded in death by her parents Jesse and Ethel (Canup) Edwards and her husband Coilton Bryson.

She is survived by sons Roy, Howard and Tommy Bryson of Young Harris, GA; daughter Frances Johnson of Port Saint Lucie, FL; brothers and sisters-in-law Jay and Elberta Edwards and George and Lisa Edwards of Young Harris, GA; grandsons, Chris, Derek, and Tyler; granddaughters, Holly and Morgan; great grandchildren, Kayla, Noah, McKenzie, and Coilton; a number of nieces and nephews also survive. 

Services will be held Monday January 2, 2017 at Old Union Church with Rev. Ricky Rogers and Rev. Jimmy Rogers officiating. The family will receive friends and guests at Old Union Church on Monday from 11:00am until 2:00 pm with the funeral to follow. Pall bearers will be Chris Bryson, Derek Bryson, William Edwards, Clarence Collins, David Kuykendall, and Dan Kuykendall.  In a lieu in flowers the family request donations be made to Banister Funeral Home to help defray the cost of funeral expenses.
