Mr. Herbert W. Allen: Obituary

Mr. Herbert W. Allen, age 77, of Hiawassee, Georgia went home to be with Jesus on December 25, 2016 following an extended illness. Herbert was born on October 28, 1939 to the late Hubert and Ora (Nolan) Allen. He was a member of North Mt. Zion Church of God, Civil Air Patrol, Senior Center and the breakfast club at McDonald’s. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vonnell Allen, his brothers, HF Allen and Marvin Allen; sisters, Vera Garcia and Vida Stidd; and son-in-law, Ken Farmer.

Herbert is survived by his daughter, Kim Farmer of Hiawassee, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Andy Allen of Hiawassee, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Glenn and Suzie Allen of Atlanta, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Lucille and Al Smith of Clarkesville, GA; sisters, Virginia Camp of Snellville, GA and Vickie Owens; grandchildren, Matthew Allen, Ryan Farmer, Amber Allen Jones and Courtney Farmer; great grandchildren, Gage Jones, Hadleigh Allen, Max Jones, Hensleigh Allen, and Bellamy Farmer.

Visitation: Wednesday, December 28, 2016 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at North Mt. Zion Church of God

Services: Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at 3PM at North Mt. Zion Church of God with Bishop Raburne Wilson officiating. Music provided by The Wilson Family
