Mrs. Monda Ethel Denton: Obituary

Mrs. Monda Ethel Denton, age 91 of Hiawassee, passed away early Sunday morning November 6, 2016 at Chatuge Regional Nursing Home. Mrs. Denton was born November 23, 1924 in Hayesville, NC to the late Baxter and Eva Burrell Lowe. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Church of God. Mrs. Denton was preceded in death by her husband, Cleveland Denton, sisters, Blanche Garrett, Dorothy Garrett and Blon McClure and brother, Charles Lowe.

Survivors include: daughter, Evelyn (Monroe) Ledford of Hiawassee, daughter, Burnette (C.J.) Nichols of Clayton, Brother, Troy Lowe of Hayesville, grandchildren, Ronnie (Renee) Ledford and Colby Nichols and great grandchildren, Haley (Michael) Barrett and Kendra Ledford.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7, 2016 at the Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee with the Rev. Glen Eller officiating. Music will be provided by Glen and Sheila Eller and Doc L. Moreland. Interment will follow in Boyds Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers: Ronnie Ledford, Colby Nichols, Knox Garrett, Robert Bradshaw, Sammy Bradshaw, and Anthony Garrett. Honorary pallbearers: Monroe Ledford and C.J. Nichols.

The family will receive friends at the Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Monday.
