Mr. David Parris Mullins Sr. : Obituary

Mr. David Parris Mullins Sr. age 76 of  Young Harris passed away peacefully on Monday August 29, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family following an extended illness. Mr. Mullins was born on September 10, 1939 in Rome, GA., the son of the late Henry Russell Mullins and the late Rosa Parris Mullins. David was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Russell, J.B., Stanford and Donald Mullins and two sisters, Doris Ridley and Vivian Brodecki. David was a member of Sharp Memorial Methodist Church.

Surviving Mr. Mullins are his loving wife and best friend of fifty four years, Margaret Owenby Mullins of Young Harris, two sons and daughters in law, David “Beau” and Patti Mullins Jr. of Blairsville, Kevin and Clarice Mullins of Blairsville, two daughters and one son in law, DeBronda Mullins of Blairsville, LaRanda and Lynn Mauldin of Hiawassee, two sisters and brothers in law, Eloise and Sam Gravley of Jacksonville, FL., Katherine and Michael Meivers of Duluth, GA., one brother and sister in law, Wayne and Patsy Mullins of Rome, GA., two sisters in law, Carolyn Mullins of Alabama and Dot Mullins of Florida, nine grandchildren, Crystal Murphy, Megan Daniel, Kayla Doutrich, Keltsey Comstock, Keyla Brendle, Keyton Mullins, Kevin Mullins, Abby Mauldin and Laura Mauldin, one great grandchild, Peyton Doutrich, many other relatives and friends also survive.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday September 3, 2016 at 2:00 pm from the Sharp Memorial Methodist Church with Dr. John Kay, Rev. David Tinsley and Jim Barker officiating. Special music will be presented by Crystal Murphy. The family will meet with friends following the services at the church Fellowship Hall.
