Mr. Roger David Plott: Obituary

Mr. Roger David Plott age 52 of Plott Town Rd. Young Harris passed away on Thursday June 9, 2016 in the North East GA Medical Center following an extended illness.

Mr. Plott was born on Aug. 26, 1963 in Murphy, NC., the son of Joann Ballard Plott and the late Jewell Otis Plott. He was a lifelong resident of Towns County. Roger loved music, model cars and barbecuing. He was a Southern Rock die hard fan. He was a very loving and caring son and friend. He was preceded in death by his father in 1975. Roger was a member of Old Union Baptist Church.

Surviving Roger are his mother, Joann Plott of Young Harris, cousins, Cindy and Kenneth Imhoff of Jacksonville, FL., Tanya and Bill Oxley of Memphis, TN., many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Monday June 13, 2016 at 2:00 pm from the Mountain View Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Rogers officiating. Special music will be presented by Jeannie Miles. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, Harold Copeland, J.J. Collins, Kenneth Imhoff, Gene Henson, Derrick Taylor and Wayne Collins. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Bill Hampton. Interment will follow in the Old Union Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 6-8:00 pm.
