Mrs. Dallas Christopher Walls, age 92, of Hiawassee, Georgia, passed away on May 23, 2016. She was born on December 24, 1923 in Hayesville, NC to the late Lazarus and Sophie (Ledford) Garrett.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Walls; children, Iva Lee Wood and Lou Walls; three brothers; one sister; grandchildren, Buddy Garland; sons-in-law, G. Russell Gibson, Kenneth Wood, and Bud Garland.
Survivors of Mrs. Walls include, daughters and sons-in-law, Margaret and Bobby Dillinger and Linda and Charles Dickerson; sons and daughters-in-law, Alton Walls, Calvin and Laura Walls, and Arvel Walls; sister, Magnus Hamby; grandchildren, Annette Parson, Dwayne and Kay Wood, Randy and Julie Crumbly, Ronnie Crumbly, Richard Seabolt, April and Hayden Salking, Chris Garland, Russell Gibson, Angie and Tony Hight, Brian and Barbie Walls, Karen and Cliff Dotson, 26 great grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Services were held on Thursday May 26th, 2016 at Lower Hightower Baptist Church at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Jason Cantrell officiating. The family received friends from 12:00 – 2:00 at the church prior to the service. Music was provided by Johnny and Jimmy Hogsed. Interment followed at the Lower Hightower Baptist Church Cemetery. Banister Funeral Home of Hiawassee Georgia in charge of arrangements.
