Mr. Odell Plott age 77 of Ule Cove Rd. Young Harris passed away on Tuesday April 26, 2016 in the North East Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.
Odell was born on Jan. 14, 1939 in Towns County, the son of the late Ulan Plott and the late Nola Wimpey Plott. He was a native and lifelong resident of Towns County. Odell loved his john deer tractor, being outdoors, traveling, gardening and playing with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Sue Pittman Plott and also a daughter, Dana Humphries. Odell attended Freewill Baptist church.
Surviving Mr. Plott are one son, Emory Plott of Young Harris, two sisters and one brother in law, Rose and Tamar Thompson of Blairsville, Annie Bell Lovell of Blairsville, two grandchildren, Chandra Diane Wilson and Destiny Humpries, many other relatives and friends also survive.
A memorial service will be held at a later date with interment to follow in the Old Union Baptist Church Cemetery. Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville is in charge of the arrangements. You may sign the family guest book and send condolences on line at www.mountainviewfuneralhome.com
