Annie Louise McGaha: Obituary

Annie Louise McGaha, age 81 of Hiawassee, passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Chatuge Regional Nursing Home. Miss. MhcGaha was born February 15, 1934 in Young Harris, GA to the late Luther Edward McGaha and the late Ollie Elizabeth McGaha. She was a member of Old Brasstown Baptist Church and had been a resident of Chatuge Nursing Home from the past 18 years where she enjoyed the activities there. She was preceded in death by siblings, Jack McGaha, Minnie Stanley, Lloyd McGaha, Donald McGaha, Jay McGaha, Beulah Bryson, Willie Bryson, Eloise Burch, Hazel McGaha and Ruby McGaha Shook.

Survivors include: sisters, Emma Parker, Callie Albritain, Betty Jean Karman, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services: Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee with the Rev.Billy Stiles officiating. Music provided by: Janet Stiles, Bill Ledford and Maria Allen. Interment will follow in Old Union Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers: Fleet Stanley, Edward Patterson, Tony Shook, Jerry Parker, Kennon Seabolt and T.J. Shook. Honorary pallbearers: Louis Kelley, Lynn Cothren, David Vogel, Ervin Davenport and Gary Melton.

The family will receive friends at the Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee on Saturday, February 6, 2016, 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm.
Flowers are being accepted; however, friends may make a donation to the charity of their choice in the memory of Miss. McGaha.
