Margaret Elena Thompson: Obituary

Ms. Margaret Elena Thompson, age 92, of Hiawassee, Georgia, passed away on October 2, 2015. She was born on September 11, 1923 in Hiawassee, Georgia to the late Ed and Leona (Wood) Rogers. She is survived by her sister, Faye Rogers and her sister-in-law, Janice Rogers. She was preceded in death by her brother, Harold Rogers; sister, Luellen Lench; and her brother-in-law, Joe Lench. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. The family received friends on Sunday, October 4, 2015 from 5-8 PM at Macedonia Baptist Church. Services were held on Monday, October 5, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Harold Ledford and Rev. Bradley Thomas officiating. Music was provided by Bobby Taylor, Harold Ledford, Bradley Thomas and Ann Chapman. Pallbearers were Herman Wood, Gene Youngblood, Bobby Kerby, Mickey Denton, Burt Rogers and Roger Dyer. Interment followed at Macedonia Cemetery. Banister Funeral Home of Hiawassee in charge of arrangement
