The Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee announces Memorial Services for Mrs. Amy Berrong Black, age 89 of Hiawassee who passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 29, 2015 after a long battle with lung cancer.
Amy, the daughter of the late Dee and Cleo Berrong was born in Hiawassee, GA on December 20, 1925. Albert C. Black, her husband, preceded her in death, 2002.
Amy is survived by her sister, Beatrice Berrong Prewitt of Hiawassee, GA, nephew- Jimmy Prewitt of Mobile, AL, nephew-Johnny Prewitt San Francisco, CA, and niece – Toni Prewitt Mugnier of Roswell, GA.
Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 6, 2015 at Brasstown Manor in Hiawassee. The family will receive friends from 2 until the service begins.
