Sheriff’s Office seeks public’s help in abandoned puppies case

BRASSTOWN BALD, Ga. -Towns County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating the person or persons that abandoned three puppies.

On Friday morning, Dec. 7, deputies responded to a call in reference to puppies that were abandoned at a trash dumpster located on Highway 180 Spur near Brasstown Bald.

Upon arrival, deputies located three small puppies at the scene. The puppies appeared to not have eaten in several days.

The puppies were transported to the Mountain Animal Shelter to be checked and cleared medically, and afterwards will be likely placed for adoption.

Towns County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the cruelty to animals incident.

Anyone with information as to the person or persons responsible for leaving the puppies at the dumpster is asked to call the Towns County Sheriff’s Office at 706-896-4444.

    ChrisI had a dog dumped out at my house on Thursday night I took it to the vets Dr Barrett and spent almost $500 on her she was eat up with worms and starved a I wished people like this would be PROSECUTED to the fullest extent of the law I posted her pic on FB with a reward offered she is a valuable dog and didn’t deserve this it was like 18 degrees when they dumped her and I had been at the heart Dr all day and come home after that were out and then had to take care of Sadie she is about 11/2 yrs old Thank you Kindly
