The Doctrine of Demons

The Wicked One- Part 2

I want to continue where we left off at our last teaching. I am trying to warn as many people as will listen about the attacks of the wicked one, the devil. He needs to be exposed. First, I want to tell you how much God loves you today and how He wants to take care of you; to give you a sure, secure future and a hope. I just want to remind you of the price He paid for you. He gave His Son, Christ Jesus to be crucified and shed His precious blood. You are valuable.  You are loved.

Love in our society has not been truly understood, but it is the most powerful weapon God has given us. Love makes no sense to the enemy. He cannot fight against it because he simply does not understand it. He cannot in any way understand God’s love for mankind nor can he fathom God’s love flowing through us to one another. He can’t comprehend unconditional love and has no come answer for it, so he runs from you.

We have a choice. We can feed the negative things of the enemy, or we can feed the positive things of the Lord Jesus. The more you feed the negative, the more the enemy feeds off of It and feeds on you. Demonic spirits are sent to feed off your negativity and to turn friends and loved ones away from you and against each other. The more you feed the demons, the more they devour, and the stronger they become.  Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

The Lord has taken me behind the scene to show me the demonic world, and how Satan’s kingdom works. It is all powered by lies. He is the father of lies.  You will not see him this way. He will always try to market himself to you as an angel of light.  I have been called to warn you, and to point you to the Scripture which is full of his work as well as instruction on how you are to deal with him.

My third visit from the devil occurred in a motel room.

I decided to go to a motel for three days of fasting and prayer for my marriage and understanding, in general. I was desperate at this time for direction. I had just gotten saved, and I knew nothing about God.  I had never been in a church, except for one time with my Mom and Dad. I was ignorant when it came to the things of the Lord. A calling from God was the furthest thing from my mind. I was having tremendous visits from the Lord, and my Pastor did not believe that such experiences could happen.  I thought my Pastor knew everything.  When he couldn’t help me, I was devastated. Since he didn’t believe me, my wife didn’t either. I remember, at the motel, just beginning to pray and seek the Lord. The devil begins to talk to me in what seemed to be an audible voice. All of this time, I thought

I was talking to Jesus, and this lasted several hours. I was asking questions, and he was answering me. I could hear him perfectly with my mind, but to this day, I don’t know how. It was as though I was carrying on a conversation with you, the reader.  As the day went on, I ask a lot of questions. I was still a heavy smoker, and that bothered me, but I was hooked. I said, what about these cigarettes I have asked you many times to help me quit, but you never have. He said, “don’t worry about the cigarettes I will take care of that.” I thought that’s a relief. Then I ask him about my pastor. I said he doesn’t believe me when I tell him that I have heard from You? (remember, I thought I was talking with the Lord Jesus) He said don’t worry about Norman Mitchell I will deal with him. Did you notice I called him pastor, but the demon called him by name? I said, well what about my marriage? I don’t know what to do, and I have been asking you every day for help. I remember all of his answers seemed to go in circles. I finally caught him in a lie. I knew everything about the devil, which I would ever need to know for the rest of my life. He is a liar and the father of lies. He is nothing but a liar, just like Jesus said he was. I was so angry I could taste it, and if you think I lost it, you would be correct. I remember shaking my fist at him saying you are a lying, son-of-a-b—-. You come back here right now; I want to deal with you. I had honored him, worshiped him, and even called him Lord all day.  I would never fear him again for the rest of my life. I don’t mean to say that he has not tried for years to side track my life, to kill me, or hurt me any way he could.

We must deal with demons from a place of authority. You don’t want to be worried about getting rid of the devil; you want him to worry about how to get rid of you.

James 4:7 “Submit: yourself therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you”. Don’t be the devil’s prey. Stay submitted to God.  Make use of the Sword of the Spirit. Most demons have never been challenged by a Christian; so know who you are and that you are a winner.  Satan will push you. He will try you. Listen to the challenge Paul had in

1Thess2:18Wherefore we would have come unto you, even I Paul, once and again; but Satan hindered us.”  He can surely hinder you.

Paul was concerned about his church in Thessalonica. He thought the devil might have already gotten into it. Is anybody concerned about the devil in your church like Paul was his church in Thessalonica? 1Thess 3:5  “For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labor is in vain.” We must stay alert at all times.

Paul also had a “thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to buffet him”(2 Cor.12:7) In other words, a demon spirit from the devil to harass him. When Paul sought the Lord for help, and The Lord told him, “My grace is sufficient for you.” In other words, “Paul, you deal with it”.

2Cor 11:14-15 Paul said, “Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness whose end shall be according to their works.”  Don’t let him push you. Could he be hanging around your Church?

1Pet 5:8 Peter said, “Be sober, be vigilant because your adversary the devil as a roaring lion walks about seeking whom he may devour.” Are you weak?

Luke 8:12 in the parable of the sower, Jesus said: “the seed is the word of God.” My friend if you let the word fall by the wayside the devil will come and grab it.  If God’s Word is not rooted deeply in your heart and you leave unprotected the devil will gobble it up! He will steal it right out of your heart.

I think Jesus preached about thirty-three sermons about the devil. It doesn’t take long to figure out why.

Luke22:31 and the Lord said, “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat.”

Watch for the next picture of the devil in part three.
